Today is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere.
When you realise that Christmas day comes just three days after, you will realise that what we are celebrating is the return of the light.
Whether you see that as a divine order, or what Jesus represents, or just a time to be happy about the lighter days to come, I hope that you will all be able to be grateful.
Grateful for the things in life that we take for granted, food, warmth, shelter and love.
And to share your love and blessings with those who may be lonely, ill or bereaved and feel it so intensely at this time of the year.
